Farm Activities

During our farm days, we read the classic story of The Little Red Hen. We then compared it to the modern retelling of The Little Red Hen Made a Pizza! It was a great way for the students to see how characters can change and that stories can teach us things about our character. Here are some picture of us making our own pizzas and a connection to the texts!

We learned about farm animals and why we have them. I think our favorite was the cow because it gives us ice cream! Here we are making our own ice cream from milk and shaking it!
