As you know, we spent most of the 1st quarter focusing on letters and their sounds. The students picked it up so quickly! We moved right into vowels surrounded by consonants. This is such a tricky concept because the students have to think about more than one sound at a time. I found a great activity to get the kids working in a hands on way-Vowel Surgery! We dressed the part and helped our word patients to get put back together! I hope that you saw your student's patient file because I didn't get many pictures! This was such an interactive and fun way for the students to start putting words together!
