Here are some pictures of us using the scientific method.
This is a super over due example of our new year's resolution writings. We are keeping them on our classroom walls so that we can read them and encourage one another!

Since we are talking about American symbols and the Liberty Bell we slipped in some time to learn about vibrations! Here we are discovering that without a vibration there would be no sound! We used wire hangers and yarn. When they are hanging loosely and not touching anything you don't hear or feel anything but if it even gently touches something else, we feel vibrations as well as hear sounds!!
Singing sweet songs during Bible!
February 2nd was Groundhog's Day so we took the opportunity to learn about shadows! We concluded that if the sun is directly above the groundhog when he comes out of his burrow then he will not see his shadow BUT if the sun is beside or behind him then he will see his shadow!! We made come predictions and wrote about what our burrows would have in them.
