To find out what our class said check out your student's bug week folder that was sent home in last Friday's folder!!
Bugs have compound eyes so we explored this by using kaleidoscopes and drawing what they see. The kids thought it was so cool that God created bugs this way!!
As a conclusion activity to our buggy week, each student chose a bug and described it with 3 clues. Then they shared their clues and we took turns guessing!!! They loved showing off their bug knowledge and some of the clues were just plain clever!!
At the beginning of the week, we were reviewing how God made an insect an insect. They have 6 legs, 2 antennae, some have wings (even 2 sets) and 3 body parts! We used some very motivating manipulatives to show what we know! Each student got to create their own bug, then they had to inspect their buddy's bug to make sure it was truly an insect!! This was by far one of the favorite activities we have done all year!! Thank you to those who sent in the items to create the bugs! Couldn't have done it without you!!!
