Farm Fun

We had so much fun at the farm: train rides, pumpkins, catching chickens, a maze, feeding animals and a cool playground!

Apple Fest

Apple Fest was such a success! Thank you for all of your help! We wouldn't have been able to pull it off without your donations and willingness to volunteer!

I hope your students made some great memories and learned through team work and interactive activities!

Here are a few pictures of our Apple themed centers:

Which type of apple is your favorite? The students each tasted a red delicious, golden delicious and Granny Smith slice. They used adjectives to describe the apples and then they cast their votes and graphed it!

Apples were also great tools to introduce the concept of gravity and the affect of elevation. The students worked as a team to determine the fastest and slowest way to roll the apples down the pipes.

Apple bowling was a favorite! The apples were the balls and the pins were bottles labeled with apples. The students bowled their hearts out and then counted and added the total number of pins that they knocked down.

The students also retold the story of Johnny Appleseed using props!

The sweetest part of the day was this apple dipping station. The students got to choose from peanut butter, marshmallow cream or caramel and then a topping of chocolate chips, marshmallows or sprinkles! They loved it!

THE favorite center was bobbing for apples!! Laura's mom was awesome and demonstrated some tricks of how to grab  the apples! Thank you!!

The kids love doing crafts with Ms. Lauren and this was the perfect day to break out the glitter! We made candy/caramel covered Apple crafts.
